Understanding Scar Reduction
Scars form when the skin repairs itself after a wound, burn, surgery, or inflammatory condition such as acne. As healing occurs, the body produces collagen fibers to close the damaged area, but these fibers are laid down differently than normal skin tissue, resulting in a visible mark that may differ in texture, tone, or elevation from the surrounding skin.

Types of Scars We Treat

Acne Scars

What to Expect
Every scar is unique, and so is every treatment journey. Here is a general overview of the process from your first appointment to your final results:
01 Consultation
Your provider reviews your scar history, skin type, and aesthetic goals to determine the best approach. Combination protocols may be recommended for optimal outcomes.
02 Treatment Day
A topical numbing cream is applied before your session for comfort. Most treatments take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being addressed. You will be able to leave immediately after your appointment.
03 Healing
Downtime varies by treatment. Microneedling typically involves mild redness and sensitivity for 24 to 48 hours. CO2 laser requires a longer healing period of approximately one to two weeks, during which the skin will peel and regenerate.
04 Results
Collagen remodeling continues for months after each session. Most patients see their best results after a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart, with improvements continuing to develop over time.
